This light-The Light of God-still shines today. But as John 3:19 reminds us, “Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”
Heaven is real! Heaven is more glorious than anything we can imagine. When God gave the Apostle John a glimpse of Heaven, he was so overwhelmed by the presence of Christ that he “fell at His feet as though dead.” (Revelation 1:17) Heaven is perfect-free from sin, death, war, and suffering. The Bible promises: “Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” – Micah 4:3
Heaven is glorious because it is the dwelling place of God: “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them.” – Revelation 21:3
Heaven will feel familiar! We will NOT feel like strangers-we’ll finally be home. Heaven will surpass everything we know-perhaps even expanding our senses beyond the six we experience today.
The most important truth about Heaven is this: you can go there. Only one thing can keep you out-unforgiven sin. But Jesus Christ has already paid the price. He took upon Himself the judgment we deserve, so that through Him, the door to Heaven is open. Why wait?
Darkness flees when light appears! Darkness is the only thing faster than the light-The Light of God removes all darkness.
